ARDEN HILLS, MINN. – The University of Northwestern women's soccer team (2-2) struggled in its Snelling Avenue showdown, as Bethel University (4-1-1) managed to snatch a 5-0 win in Tuesday afternoon's contest.
Though the Royals scored twice in the first half action to control a 2-0 lead, the Eagles did not give up the fight as sophomore goalkeeper
Samantha Dewey (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) tallied nine saves (14 total) to finish the first 45:00 of play.
The second period was as an aggressive half, as the Royals knocked in three more goals to run away with the 5-0 victory on the mid-day match.
The ladies will resume conference play this weekend when they host Martin Luther on Saturday, September 24
