INDIANOLA, Iowa. – The University of Northwestern's women's tennis spent their Saturday in Iowa, racking up a pair of wins. The Eagles took on the Knights of Wartburg College (6-3) before facing off against the Simpson College Storm (9-0). Northwestern continued to build an impressive record as the season moves into the bulk stretch of conference contests.

Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) continued her perfect singles season, taking No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-0) in stride.
Emily Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) also grabbed a win in No. 5 singles (6-2, 6-1) as Northwestern grabbed four of the six matchups. In No. 1 doubles, teammates Moe and
Brooke Lapinski (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) earned another victory (8-3), while the No. 3 doubles pairing of
Rachel Bostrom (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake) and
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) got another Eagles' win (8-4).
The Eagles piled it on against the Storm in the day's second matchup. In No. 3 singles,
Tina Matetich (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) dominated (6-0, 6-0) to add to Northwestern's points. Bostrom put together an impressive win (6-3, 6-1) in No. 4 singles. All three of the Eagles' doubles teams cruised to victory, sealing the perfect match to end the day.
The Eagles will travel to La Crosse next weekend to face off against Edgewood College and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday, April 9. This will be the last road trip for the University of Northwestern women's tennis team before a stretch of home advantages on the purple courts of Reynolds Field.
