MANKATO, Minn. – The Eagles' men's tennis team took on Bethany Lutheran College on Friday, duplicating their success over the Vikings from earlier this season (7-2). Northwestern has swept all but one Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) opponents on the season, including a perfect home record at the Johnson Courts at Reynolds Field.

The Purple and Gold took the top three singles matches handedly, dropping just two matches in singles play.
CJ Lloyd (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) again won No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-4) for the Eagles, while
Brett Jacobus (Lakeville, Minn. /Lakeville North) grabbed the No. 2 singles victory (6-4, 6-3). In No. 3 singles, freshman
Landon Ridpath (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech ) put another notch in the left-hand column (6-2, 6-1) in impressive fashion.
Joshua Kimball (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) finished No. 5 singles with another Eagles' victory (7-6, 6-2) to round off singles play.
UNW swept doubles play, starting with an 8-2 statement win from Lloyd and Jacobus in No. 1 doubles. Partners Ridpath and
Derek Williams (Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River) just snuck away with the No. 2 doubles match (8-6), and Kimball paired with
Cameron Fair (Sterling, Kan./Sterling) for another close win (9-7) in the No. 3 doubles slot.
The Eagles will be back home tomorrow, Saturday, April 30, at 2 p.m. to host the College of St. Scholastica in a final UMAC contest. UNW will look to split the season series with the Saints, as St. Scholastica is the only conference opponent to defeat the Eagles this season.
