MANKATO, Minn. – The University of Northwestern's women's tennis team faced another Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) opponent on Friday, and the Eagles cruised to another 9-0 win. UNW traveled to play Bethany Lutheran College, sweeping the Vikings for the second time this season.

Rachel Bostrom (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake) surpassed 100 career wins in combined singles and doubles play with her pair of victories Friday night.
Northwestern got perfection in half of the singles matches, starting at the top with
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) (6-0, 6-0) in No. 1 singles.
Emily Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) grabbed another clean scorecard for the Purple and Gold in No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-0), while
Rachel Bostrom (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake) pulled another flawless performance (6-0, 6-0) for the Eagles in No. 6 singles.
Jessica Henke (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) notched the win in No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-2) once again, and
Tina Matetich (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) earned the victory in No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-2). No. 4 singles play went in favor of
Brooke Lapinski (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen), as the sophomore added to UNW's clean sweep.
In doubles play, all three matchups ended with the Eagles in total control. Moe and Henke dominated No. 1 doubles (8-3) as usual. Matetich and Lapinski teamed up for another win (8-2) in No. 2 doubles. Rounding out the team, Knight and Bostrom took No. 3 singles (8-2) as UNW finished off a perfect season against the Vikings.
The Eagles will be back on the Johnson Courts at Reynolds Field tomorrow, April 30, at 2 p.m. Northwestern has yet to lose at home this season, and will host the College of St. Scholastica who provided the only conference loss this season for Northwestern. The Purple and Gold are riding a five-match win streak, sweeping nine of their last ten contests.
