NEW ULM, Minn. – The University of Norhtwestern's women's tennis team visited Martin Luther College on Tuesday afternoon, with the Eagles pulling out the brooms for another perfect (9-0) performance against the Knights.

With tonight's win,
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) is now the winningest player in program history in singles play.
With the lone perfect scorecard on the day,
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) brushed her way through No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-0) to get things rolling for the Purple and Gold.
Jessica Henke (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) dropped a few games, yet managed the victory (6-1, 6-2) in No. 2 singles. No. 3 singles went to
Tina Matetich (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) (6-2, 6-2), while
Brooke Lapinski (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) grabbed No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-0) impressively.
Emily Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) claimed No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-2) and
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) wrapped up No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-1) to finish off the competition for Northwestern.
The Eagles swept through doubles play, with Moe and Henke posting an unblemished card in the No. 1 slot (8-0). Partners Lapinski and Matetich grabbed No. 2 doubles (8-1). The final UNW pairing of Knight and Edin took care of business (8-2) in No. 3 doubles.
The women's tennis team will stay on the road, taking on Bethany Lutheran College on Thursday, April 28, at 3:30 p.m. Following Thursday's matchup, the Eagles will be back on the Johnson Courts at Reynolds Field to host the College of St. Scholastica Saints in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular-season finale.
