LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Eagles completed the perfect sweep for the season over the North Central Rams, returning to Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play Monday evening. The University of Northwestern dominated (9-0) to get back into the winning groove. The Eagles will look to propel from this convincing win into the home stretch of conference play.

CJ Lloyd (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) snagged No. 1 singles (6-3, 6-1) as he moved back into the win column handedly.
Brett Jacobus (Lakeville, Minn. /Lakeville North) took No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0) impressively, and
Landon Ridpath (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech ) wrapped up No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-2) as the Eagles kept rolling. Just freshman
Cameron Fair (Sterling, Kan./Sterling) managed a perfect match (6-0, 6-0), winning No. 6 singles.
The Eagles continued to flood the statistics sheet in doubles play. Lloyd and Jacobus solidified their dominance in No. 1 doubles (8-0) to keep Northwestern perfect on the day. Freshmen Ridpath and
Derek Williams (Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River) served up another Eagles' victory, claiming the No. 2 singles matchup 8-1. The No. 3 doubles pairing of Fair and
Joshua Kimball (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) finished off the day for Northwestern (8-2), giving the Eagles their third perfect score on the season.
Northwestern's men's tennis team will open the Johnson Tennis Courts at Reynolds Field this Saturday, April 16. The Eagles host Bethany Lutheran College at 10:30 a.m. and Martin Luther College at 4:30 p.m., getting UMAC competition into full swing.
