DULUTH, Minn. – The University of Northwestern women's basketball team ended its regular season on a high note, defeating the College of St. Scholastica 60-54 on Saturday evening inside Reif Gymnasium.  The Eagles finish the regular season 20-5 overall and 14-2 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play.

The Eagles overcame an 11-point deficit in the second half en route to picking up their 20^th win of the season. It is the second time under the direction of head coach Aaron Kahl (6^th Year) that the Eagles have reached the 20-win milestone.

Amy Berglund (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Eagles. She finished 8-of-12 from the field and also grabbed seven boards. Regan Cooper (Pella, Iowa/Pella) (12) and Jessica Cole (Altoona, Iowa/Southeast Polk) (10) also hit double figures. Cooper finished 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.

UNW shot 42 from the floor, while CSS ended the night at 32.7 percent from the floor. The Eagles dominated the paint, outscoring the Saints 30-16 down low.

The Eagles have secured the No. 2 seed in the UMAC Tournament and will host Bethany Lutheran College on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. Fans can find more information on the upcoming tournament at www.unweagles.com.
