ASHLAND, WIS. – The University of Northwestern women's soccer team (6-4, 4-2 UMAC) competed in another Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) battle on Saturday afternoon against Northland College. Closing the mid-day match, the Lumberjill's were able to run away with the 3-0 win.
Starting off hot, NC post two early goals to stretch a 2-0 lead over UNW. Though the Eagles got off to a rough start, they held off the Lumberjill's throughout the remainder of the half.
Wrapping up the first period, Northwestern tallied six shots to Northland's seven.
As the second half took off, Eagle defense continued in their strong efforts to hold back their opponents. Though the team did their best, NC scored their final goal late in the game to help secure a 3-0 victory on the afternoon contest.
The Eagles concluded with 13S and three SOG. The game leaders on the day's competition were

The team will hit the road for its next contest on Tuesday, October 11
