NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The 22-ranked University of Northwestern volleyball team bounced back from Friday's five-set loss to the University of St. Thomas with a 3-1 win over Carleton College (11-4) Saturday evening. The Eagles – who move to 15-3 overall – won by set scores of 16-25, 25-15, 25-13, 25-15.
It was once again
Lindsey Peterson (Sheffield, Iowa/West Fork) leading the way, as the junior racked up a match-high 18 kills to go along with 16 digs and two aces.
Leesa Hulstrand (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) posted 27 assists, while
Jackie Doering (Charles City, Iowa/Charles City) notched 18 digs.
Freya Hanson (Otsego, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) contributed nine kills.
UNW posted 61 points to Carleton's 52 and also held an 8-6 advantage in blocks.
