LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The University of Northwestern started another busy week on Monday, earning a 9-0 victory over the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at Lifetime Fitness. It was the Eagles' fourth consecutive victory in a venue that will host Northwestern again on Tuesday.

Megan Johnson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) and
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) were 8-0 winners over River Falls' offering of Kelsey Hochberger and Anna Ebensperger.
Singles action started with Johnson outlasting Hochberger, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 1, while both Moe and
Birdie Bardwell (Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville) took care of business in their Nos. 2 and 3 singles matches, winning 6-2, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-1.
Brooke Lapinski (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) also won in quick fashion as she defeated Molly Deering 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles while Northwestern's
Tina Matetich (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) blanked her No. 6 singles opponent, Lea Zuern, 6-0, 6-0.
Now 12-8 on the season, the Eagles will play another nonconference match against Saint Mary's University (Minn.) at 5 p.m. on Tuesday under Lifetime Fitness-Lakeville's roof.
