ST. PAUL — The University of Northwestern's womens soccer team was blanked by visiting Bethel University Tuesday night at Reynolds Field. With four first half goals, the Royals came out firing, finishing with a 5-0 score over UNW.
BU's Savannah Swanson scored the first two goals within the first 15 minutes. The Royals scored two more before the half.
Samantha Dewey (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) subbed in for the second period, taking the net for the Eagles. Dewey had three saves in the second, holding off Bethel from scoring again until the 72nd minute for the fifth goal of the night.
Regardless of six shots on goal, Bethel's nine sealed the deal for the night.
