MANKATO, Minn. — The University of Northwestern jumped to first place in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference standings with a 6-1 win over Bethany Lutheran College Saturday night.
Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo )'s quadruple paved the way for a comfortable victory for the Eagles on the road.
Northwestern's
Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo ) put the Eagles on the board nine minutes into the game, her sixth goal for the season. Skarin was assisted by
Katie Meinke (Victoria, Minn./Southwest Christian).
Kirsten Aderton (Rochester, Minn./Schaeffer Academy) scored her second goal this week with an assist by Skarin 18 minutes into the game.
Skarin again tallied a goal with 25:05 on the board, made possible by
Sydney Narloch (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount). Skarin wasn't ready to call it quits with her fourth goal of the night, assisted by
Anna Martinson (Apple Valley, Minn./Homeschool).
Rachel Walmsley (Lino Lakes, Minn./Homeschool) shook things up with a goal in the 86th minute, her second of the season.
UNW outshot the Vikings 22-5.
Northwestern will host Bethel University on Tuesday night under the lights with a kickoff time of 7 p.m. The Eagles will resume conference play at North Central at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
