UNW jumps to first in conference with 6-1 win over Bethany Lutheran

MANKATO, Minn. — The University of Northwestern jumped to first place in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference standings with a 6-1 win over Bethany Lutheran College Saturday night. Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo )'s quadruple paved the way for a comfortable victory for the Eagles on the road.

Northwestern's Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo ) put the Eagles on the board nine minutes into the game, her sixth goal for the season. Skarin was assisted by Katie Meinke (Victoria, Minn./Southwest Christian). Kirsten Aderton (Rochester, Minn./Schaeffer Academy) scored her second goal this week with an assist by Skarin 18 minutes into the game.

Skarin again tallied a goal with 25:05 on the board, made possible by Sydney Narloch (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount). Skarin wasn't ready to call it quits with her fourth goal of the night, assisted by Anna Martinson (Apple Valley, Minn./Homeschool). Rachel Walmsley (Lino Lakes, Minn./Homeschool) shook things up with a goal in the 86th minute, her second of the season.

UNW outshot the Vikings 22-5.
