Box Score NEW ULM, Minn. — The University of Northwestern women's soccer couldn't secure the win against the Martin Luther College in a tough 4-2 loss. Skarin with two goals couldn't quite carry the Eagles to a victory in New Ulm on Saturday afternoon.
First to put the Knights on the scoreboard in the 11th minute was Jenna Maurer, her first of three goals of the day. Eagle sophomore
Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo ) scored in the 13th minute, putting the Eagles back in the game, but Maurer scored again a few minutes later. The home team took the lead 2-1 going into half.

Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo ) also took her last goal of the night in the 68th minute, leading the Eagles in goals this season with three. Martin Luther added margin by responding with the last goal of the afternoon by Hailey Johnson with 11 minutes left on the clock.
Defensively,
Miranda Carda (Andover, Minn./Andover) tallied 10 saves for the Purple and Gold, however it wasn't quite enough as the Knights out-shot the Eagles 26-15.
Northwestern (1-7 overall, 1-3 UMAC) will hit the road again this weekend facing Crown College at 5 p.m. on Friday night and Bethany Lutheran College at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
