Men's Tennis swept by Wis.-La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The University of Northwestern men's tennis team suffered its second consecutive loss, falling to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 9-0 on Saturday. UNW held its own in just a few of the nine matches as the now 13-4 Eagles from La Crosse showed their prowess.

Match Results

Northwestern earned just four games throughout the three doubles contests with the Eagles looking up at their opponent in a 3-0 deficit heading into singles action. Jimmy Ekman (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) gave La Crosse's Tony Mirasola a run in their first set before ultimately falling 6-4, 6-0. UNW's Agassi Mila (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) was the only player donning purple and gold that won at least one game in both of his singles sets.

Now 5-11 overall, Northwestern has 10 days off from competition before resuming its Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) schedule against Martin Luther College on April 22.
