In addition to the team victory, UNW's Sammy Davis won individual medalist honors as the Eagles junior carded a 26-over-par score of 97 on the par 71, 5,861-yard links course. Davis' score came in two strokes ahead of the next closest competitors, Minnesota Morris' Abby Fragodt and the Eagles' Barbara Murray (Chisago City, Minn./Chisago Lakes), who both finished with 99s.

With already two Northwestern team members in the top three for individual scores, Eagles freshman Naomi Black (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) joined the party with a top five performance of 100, which was good enough for fourth place on the day. Taylor Trout (Manteca, Calif. /Manteca) rounded out the UNW four-person team score with a 116.

Northwestern's 412 as a team was 10 strokes better than second place Bethany Lutheran College's 422. The Eagles and Vikings were the only two teams to shoot under 500.

The Eagles are next scheduled to play on Thursday, Sept. 12 at the Northland College Invitational at Chequamegon Bay Golf Club on the shores of Lake Superior in Ashland, Wis.  Thursday's tee times begin at 10 a.m.
