The top of the singles lineup was rolling, as Megan Johnson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) swept her Rams opponent in straight sets, while Rachel Smith (St. Cloud, Minn./Bemidji) ended her match in the same fashion as Johnson. The rest of the lineup kept the momentum in the Eagles' favor, as Kelly Johnson (Annandale, Minn./Annandale), Rachel Bostrom (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake), Amber Gallaway (Annandale, Minn./Annandale), and Aubree Else (Oskaloosa, Iowa/Pella Christian) all posted convincing victories.

The top two doubles matches mirrored the singles' results, as both Johnson and Johnson and the Smith/Bostrom duo forced shutout wins, 8-0. In the third contest, Autumn Kampman (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) and Aubree Else (Oskaloosa, Iowa/Pella Christian) fended off pressure from North Central and gained the upper hand, 8-4, leaving the Eagles up 9-0.

Northwestern (7-5 overall, 4-1 UMAC) will look to push its win streak to four matches on Tuesday as the squad will once again take on the Rams. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and will be held at Lifetime Fitness in Fridley.
