With No. 1 singles player
David Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) out for the day,
Caleb Kauss (St. Paul, Minn./Harding) stepped up to face Macalester's Chris Fowler. Kauss lost his match 6-2, 6-3, as did
Keagan Blancke (Elk River, Minn./Elk River), who rallied to force a second set tiebreaker before falling 6-0, 7-5 to Stephen Tyndel.
All of Northwestern's Nos. 4-6 singles players took their matches to super tiebreakers. Unfortunately for the Eagles, all three went Macalester's way. Perry Campbell defeated NWC's

Agassi Mila (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) 6-0, 3-6, 10-5 and Kai Peterson outlasted
