FRIDLEY, Minn. – The Northwestern Men's tennis team got the job done yesterday in their match verse the University of Minnesota-Morris. Losing only two games total, the Eagles swept the Cougars 9-0.
Northwestern's No. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 singles players all defeated their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
David Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge), Northwestern's No. 1 singles player, faced a little tougher opponent but he ultimately defeated Chris Droske 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles play, Northwestern won all of the matches with ease, defeating Morris 8-0 in all three matches.
With a 7-11 record, the Eagles will face their toughest conference opponents of the season this Saturday in Duluth, Minn. where the Eagles will take on the College of St. Scholastica at 12 p.m.
