Box Score MORRIS, Minn. -- The Northwestern College volleyball team lost its first set in 10 matches, but the Eagles still beat the University of Minnesota Morris on Saturday to claim their 10th consecutive victory while improving to 16-2 (4-0 UMAC) on the season.
The Eagles and Morris played a match with no set decided by more than three points for the second straight time as NWC won 28-26, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23. Despite being out-hit by nine percentage points and two kills, the Eagles posted nine blocks, compared to just two for the Cougars while earning seven serving aces.

Chelsea Koth (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) and
Greta King (Willmar, Minn./Willmar) (Willmar, Minn./Willmar) blew up for 18 and 17 kills, respectively, while
Courtney Jonas (Neenah, Wis./Valley Christian) (Neenah, Wis./Valley Christian) pounded the ball from her middle hitter position for 12 kills.
Krista Stoltz (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) recorded 48 set assists on the day to allow the the Purple and Gold hit .212, marking the 12th match this year that Northwestern has hit above .200.
King,
Lexi Bertsch (Andover, Minn./Meadow Creek Christian) (Andover, Minn./Meadow Creek) and Koth all hit double digits for digs, with King recording 20 to go with her outstanding offensive performance. King also had three solo blocks to round out her day's performance.
Minnesota Morris received a 17-kill match from Kaylie Clark and 12 more kills from Steph Schmiesing while the Cougars' setter, Natalie Thomas, also posted 48 assists on the day.
Following a road match at Crown College on Tuesday, the Eagles will return home to put their winning streak on the line against Northland College on Thursday, Oct. 6 in the Ericksen Center. NWC will then host the College of St. Scholastica in a showdown of the UMAC's top two teams on Friday, Oct. 7. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m.
