Eagles record their sixth 0-9 loss

WINONA, Minn.—
The Northwestern College men's tennis team played its first match since being in Hawaii against St. Mary's University, resulting in its sixth 0-9 loss on the season.

Eagle's No. 1 singles Stephen Fread (Minneapolis, MN/Osseo High School) (Minneapolis, Minn./Osseo High School) lost his first set 4-6, but came back and won the second with a score of 7-6 before falling short 5-7 in the tiebreaker. Playing No. 2 singles Joshua Fread (Minneapolis, Minn./Osseo High School) lost took six games off his opponent, losing 2-6, 4-6 while No. 3 Logan Fischer (Silver Bay, MN/Homeschool) (Silver Bay, Minn./Homeschool) grabbed four games, ending in 3-6, 1-6 fashion.

 

Playing No. 1 doubles together the Fread brothers battled through a 5-8 defeat against their counterparts. The only other game taken by Northwestern was by No. 3 doubles Garrett Lahr (Brooklyn Park, Minn./) and Ken Linhan (Andover, Minn./Andover High School).
