Women's Soccer downed by UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (Sep. 24, 2008) – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls women's soccer team looked like they were seeking revenge for the Falcon football team's loss to Northwestern College on Saturday, as they defeated the Eagles 7-0 in Wednesday afternoon.

Eryn Lansverk had her fourth and fifth goals of the season for UW-River Falls, who tallied 40 shots Northwestern. The Eagles, who were playing without top offensive threats Kyrie Jorgenson (Decorah, Iowa/Decorah) (Decorah, Iowa/Decorah) and Nikki Seviola (Circle Pines, MN/Centennial High School) (Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial), mustered up three shots in the game.

Tara Kubiszewski (Andover, Minn./Meadow Creek) had nine saves in her first start in goal for NWC. Rhonda Morgan (Andover, Minn./Meadow Creek) (Andover, Minn./Meadow Creek) followed with eight saves in the game's final 45 minutes.

Northwestern (1-4 overall, 1-1 UMAC) will return to Reynolds Field for their home-opening game on Friday, as they host the University of Minnesota, Morris for a 4 p.m. bout.
