NCCAA Region Pairings Announced

ST. PAUL (March 4, 2008) – Following conference tournaments in other parts of the North Central region, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Region Tournaments are set.

The Northwestern men will participate in a four-team tournament, facing off against UMAC rival Bethany Lutheran College on Friday, March 7 at 5:30 p.m. The game, which will be the fourth meeting between the two teams this season, will be hosted by Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Ill. If the Eagles win, they will play in the region championship on Saturday at 3 p.m., with the winner moving on to the NCCAA National Tournament in Oakland City, Indiana. Live stats for the men's game can be found at www.trnty.edu/athletics.

Northwestern's women will host the championship game of a three-team regional tournament, which begins on Tuesday. Trinity International University travels to Greenville College for a 6 p.m. play-in game on March 4, with the winner facing the Eagles at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 in the Ericksen Center. Much like the men's bracket, Saturday's winner will advance to the national tournament, which begins on Thursday, March 13. The women's championship will be broadcasted on WVOE. To listen to the game, click on the graphic entitled “Live Broadcasts” on the right side of nwceagles.com's front page.
