Josh Pettit and his team, as the Eagles evened their season's record with a 2-0 win over the Beavers.
Amy Green (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls) (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls) and
Kyrie Jorgenson (Decorah, Iowa/Decorah) (Decorah, Iowa/Decorah) each had a goal in the game, with Green's game-winner coming in the 16th minute. Both goals were unassisted.
Rhonda Morgan (Andover, Minn./Meadow Creek) (Andover, Minn./Meadow Creek) recorded five saves in the game, earning her second shutout of the season.
Northwestern has won four of their last five games, boosting their season's record to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in the UMAC. Buena Vista falls to 2-8 on the year.
The Eagles will be in action again this coming weekend, as they host Bethany Lutheran College and Martin Luther College on Friday and Saturday. Friday's bout with Bethany Lutheran is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., while Saturday's game against Martin Luther will kickoff at 2 p.m.
