MOORHEAD, Minn. (Jan. 26, 2008) – It was a rough start for the Northwestern College men's tennis team on Saturday, as they were shutout by Concordia College-Moorhead 9-0.
Northwestern's No. 3 and 5 singles in
John Barnes (Nashua, IA/Nashua-Plainfield High School) (Nashua, Iowa/Nashua-Plainfield) and
Jeremiah Schneck (Faribault, Minn./Faribault) (Faribault, Minn./Faribault) gave their opponents the most grief, as both sent at least one set into a tie-breaker.
The Eagles will try to pick up the season's first win on Thursday, Jan. 31, when they travel to Eau Claire, Wis. to play the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Thursday's match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
