Courtney Schmidt is beginning her 5th season as an Assistant Coach for the University of Northwestern Softball program in 2026. Schmidt is a 2021 graduate of Northwestern.
While at Northwestern, Schmidt had a great playing career as the Eagles' third baseman and shortstop. Schmidt played for the Eagles from 2018 to 2021 and holds the program record for most sacrifices in a career. During her four years as an Eagle, she received various awards, including UMAC Honorable Mention All-Conference, NCCAA Scholar Athlete, and UMAC All-Academic. She is also second all-time in program history for assists in a single season.
