University of Northwestern Athletics

AJ Walsh-Brenizer is beginning his fourth season as an assistant coach for the University of Northwestern Men’s and Women’s Track and Field programs in 2023-24. Coach Walsh-Brenizer specializes in the Pole Vault and Javelin for the Eagles.

Coach Walsh-Brenizer has coached various talented athletes in his years at Northwestern, including two conference champions in the pole vault, a few runner ups, and one school record.

Coach Walsh-Brenizer previously coached at Wisconsin-River Falls for one year before coming to UNW. He also still coaches for G-Force Pole Vault Club out of Forest Lake, Minnesota in the offseason.

As a student-athlete, Walsh-Brenizer competed collegiately at Wisconsin-River Falls for 4 years where he competed in the Pole Vault and Javelin.
 

Coach Walsh-Brenizer currently resides in River Falls, WI with his wife, Grace.
