Megan McGeough enters her 3rd season as an Assistant Coach for the University of Northwestern Women's Basketball team in 2025-26, and her second year as Assistant Sports Information Director.
As Assistant Sports Information Director, McGeough is the primary Sports Information Contact for UNW's Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Track and Field, and Softball teams. She is also responsible for the redesigns of Northwestern's online team record books and Hall of Fame display inside the Ericksen Center, as well as various archival projects and graphic designs.
In Megan's second season as a Women's Basketball Assistant Coach (2024-25), the Eagles earned a share of the UMAC Regular Season Championship and made their 11th appearance in the NCCAA DI National Tournament, going 2-1 and finishing in fifth place.
McGeough (formerly Megan Roberts) was a three-time First Team All-UMAC and two-time NCCAA All-America selection for the Northwestern Women's Basketball team. She also was a member of the UNW Women's Lacrosse team for three seasons and worked for the Sports Information Department as a student, setting the foundation for a future career in the department. Her student worker experience included both game day and office duties that were integral to the operation of Eagle Athletics.
After graduating from Northwestern with a degree in Kinesiology, Megan worked as an Admissions Counselor at UNW, which allowed her to connect with many current and future UNW student-athletes. The territories she was responsible for were Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, South Dakota and Washington, as well as Anoka County, Isanti County, Carver County and Wright County in Minnesota. McGeough also was the voice of Northwestern Lacrosse for the Eagle Sports Network after graduating.
Megan and her husband, Tyler, make their home in Coon Rapids.
