Ellie Ronning is beginning her 3rd season as an Assistant Coach for the University of Northwestern Softball program in 2025. Ronning is a 2021 graduate of Northwestern.
While at Northwestern, Ronning had a decorated playing career as the Eagles' first baseman. In her time with the Eagles, Ronning was named NCCAA First Team All-American. She was named NCCAA North Central Region Player of the Year and All-Region Team in 2021. She received many UMAC awards including First-Team All Conference, All-Defensive Team, and the Sportsmanship Award. Ronning also excelled off the field, receiving awards including UMAC All-Acadmeic, NCCAA Scholar Athlete, and NFCA Scholar Athlete throughout her four years as an Eagle.
