Davis Pfaff enters his 3rd season overall as an Assistant Men's and Women's Tennis Coach under Matt Swigart at the University of Northwestern in 2025.
A Maple Grove native, Coach Pfaff first joined the Northwestern Men's Tennis program as a player in 2018, where he helped the Eagles win their second UMAC Tournament Championship in program history and clinch their first ever NCAA National Tournament bid. As a senior in 2021, Pfaff was named Second-Team NCCAA All-American and led UNW to its second NCCAA National Tournament appearance in program history. He was named team captain three times in his impressive career.
Following his senior year, Pfaff joined Coach Swigart's coaching staff for the 2022 season. In 2023, he decided to use the extra "Covid year" extended to student-athletes whose athletics careers were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, and rejoined the team for one final year as a player. He rejoined the UNW coaching staff for his second stint assisting Coach Swigart in 2023.
When he is not on the tennis courts, Coach Pfaff works as a Data Engineering Consultant in the Twin Cities.
