Camp Staff
Director - Jay Mayes
Jay Mayes is returning to his position as the Head Coach of the Men's Lacrosse team at the University of Northwestern in 2021.
Coach Mayes spent one season as the head coach of UNW Men's Lacrosse in 2018. His one season at the helm was extremely successful. The Eagles won 9 games in 2018, which is a program record for wins in a season. Coach Mayes' successful 2018 season gives him the highest win percentage for a coach in program history. Outside of his experience at UNW, Mayes has a lot of experience within the sport. He worked as an Assistant coach/Offensive and recruiting coordinator at Gordon College. He has also held Offensive Coordinator positions at the University of Arizona and Houston Christian. Coach Mayes has served on the board of directors for Homegrown Lacrosse 501c3 and he is the Defensive coordinator for the Kenyan Nations lacrosse team.
The camp staff features current and past players and coaches from Northwestern as well as high school, college, and club coaches from the Twin Cities. ALl participating staff are committed to giving each camper individual attention, focusing on the fundamentals of lacrosse and the Christian athlete. Each staff member brings a key area of expertise of the game to share with the campers.
