LA CROSSE, Wis. - Three Eagles from the University of Northwestern Track and Field team competed in the UW-La Crosse NCAA Outdoor Final Qualifier on Wednesday night.
Emery Maki (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) raced in the 800-meter,
Grace Moravchik (Mason, Wis./Ashland) raced in the 400-meter hurdles, and
Emily Ashton (Camas, Wash./St. Mary's Academy) threw the Javelin. Despite solid performances, none of the athletes qualified for an appearance at the NCAA Championship.
Winning the 800-meter run, Maki finished the two-lapper with a bang, turning in a time of 2:17.00. Moravchik ran a time of 1:05.98 in the 400-meter hurdles for the first time since winning the event at the NCCAA Championships last weekend. With a throw of 36.42 (119'6"), Ashton finished 7th in the meet to close out her impressive season as well.
With this final meet, the Eagles officially close out the 2025 season.
