ST. PAUL, Minn.- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference released their Player of the Week awards for this past week and the University of Northwestern Women's Soccer team swept their sport's weekly awards.
Haley Mersberger (Kiel, Wisc./Elkhart Lake Glenbeulah) was named the UMAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for a conference-leading third time this season. The sophomore has 20 goals this season which is the most in the UMAC with the closest player behind her at 15 goals on the season.
Samantha Hansen (Cottage Grove, Minn./New Life Academy) was named the UMAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season. Not only was this the first weekly award she has earned this season, it is also the first of the freshman's collegiate career. Hansen is the first Eagle to be named the Women's Soccer (Defensive) Player of the Week this season.

-Scored one goal and assisted another in Northwestern's 3-1 win over top-ranked UW-Superior.
-Added her fourth hat trick of the year in a 5-0 win over North Central.

-The freshman made 10 massive saves to spark Northwestern to a 3-1 win over previously UMAC unbeaten UW-Superior.
-Followed that up with a clean sheet against North Central on Saturday.
