ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced their Players of the Week on Tuesday and four Northwestern student-athletes earned weekly awards.
Beau Burk (Ogilvie, Minn./Ogilvie),
Ari Schmidt (Albany, Minn./Holdingford),
Hannah Gadient (Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue), and
Marylyn Schroyer (Ft. Collins, Colo./Ft. Collins) each received the honor for their respective sport. With these awards, the Eagles have earned their first four Conference Player of the Week honors during the 2022-23 athletic year.
FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Beau Burk (Ogilvie, Minn./Ogilvie)
- Broke a school record with 222 receiving yards and a touchdown.
VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ari Schmidt (Albany, Minn./Holdingford)
- Schmidt recorded 4.3 points/set while averaging 3.2 kills/set on .367 hitting. Hit .500 with 9 kills in a 3-0 win over #20 Bethel.
VOLLEYBALL SETTER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hannah Gadient (Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue)
- Had 64 assists, 18 digs, and 6 kills to help lead the Eagles to 4 wins last week.
VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marylyn Schroyer (Ft. Collins, Colo./Ft. Collins)
- Recorded 74 digs, 7 assists, and 3 aces to lead the Eagles defensively to a 4-0 start.
