ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Northwestern men's lacrosse team had four student-athletes recognized with all-conference honors by the Midwest Lacrosse Conference on Friday. The Eagles earned one first-team award, two second-team awards, and a sportsmanship award.
Peyton La Mere (Holmen, Wis./Holmen) earned First-Team All-MLC honors. The senior defenseman caused the tenth-most turnovers in the conference with 22 and brought in 41 ground balls. He also had an assist on the offensive side of the field.
Sam Moses (Wasau, Wis./Wasau East) earned Second-Team All-MLC honors. The freshman midfielder scored the ninth-most goals in the conference with 22 and added nine assists for 31 points on the season. He also had 23 ground balls and caused five turnovers.
Khoa Vu (Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee) earned Second-Team All-MLC honors. The junior short-stick defenseman took 41 ground balls and caused six turnovers. On the other side of the field, he recorded eight points on five goals and three assists.
Bryce Schmidgall (Hancock, Minn./Hancock) earned MLC All-Sportsmanship honors. The attackman scored nine goals, corralled 23 ground balls, and forced two caused turnovers.
