ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced their Players of the Week on Monday and four Northwestern student-athletes earned weekly awards. Maggie Oehlerking (Farmington, Minn./Farmington), Guerin Szafraniec (Brighton, Colo./Brighton), Elli Dodge (Wahpeton, N.D./Wahpeton), and Owen Boerema (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield) each received the honor for their respective sport. With these awards, the Eagles have earned 66 Conference Player of the Week honors during the 2021-22 athletic year.

SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maggie Oehlerking (Farmington, Minn./Farmington)
- Went 6-for-9 (.667) and slugged 1.222 in four UMAC wins
- Finished with eight RBI, three runs and three extra-base hits
- Hit a grand slam in win over Northwestern for first career home run

BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Guerin Szafraniec (Brighton, Colo./Brighton)
- Went 6-for-10 (.600) with nine RBI and three home runs vs. Crown
- Hit two home runs with seven RBI in Sunday's 15-1 win
- Finished series with five runs, three walks and four extra-base hits

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Elli Dodge (Wahpeton, N.D./Wahpeton)
- Won six matches for the Eagles last week
- Earned match-clinching 6-2, 6-0 win vs. Simpson at No. 4 singles
- Added UMAC victories at No. 3 and No. 4 singles

BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Owen Boerema (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield)
- Pitched complete game shutout in 5-0 win over Crown
- Set single-game school record with 21 strikeouts - one shy of the NCAA Division III record
- Allowed just two hits and one walk
