GEORGETOWN, Texas. – The University of Northwestern women's lacrosse team closed out their season-opening games in Texas on Saturday as the Eagles took on the Southwestern University Pirates. UNW fell to SU by a 20-1 final.
Emma Snyder (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park) put UNW on the scoreboard late in the fourth quarter with an unassisted goal; her first of the season.
Cara Smith (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) led the Eagles with four ground balls.
Up next for Northwestern is neutral site contest at the Augsburg dome on Monday as UNW hosts Hamline at 1:00 P.M. for a non-conference match.
