RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The University of Northwestern St. Paul Women's Lacrosse team battled the University of Wisconsin River Falls Falcons on Saturday night in a non-conference contest. The Eagles fell 19-4 to the Falcons.
Talia Sherry (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) led UNW on offense with a hat trick. The senior also had a team-high three draw controls to go along with two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Emma Snyder (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park) scored for the Eagles as well, finding the back of the net midway through the second half.
Defensively, Megan Roberts (Greeley, Colo./Dayspring Christian Academy) led the Eagles with five caused turnovers and picked up three ground balls. Jamie Ellis (Farmington, Minn./Homeschool) and Cara Smith (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) had two caused turnovers each in the match.
Up next for Northwestern is the MWLC Tournament, in which the Eagles will be the No. 3 seed.
