WINNECONNE, Wis. – The University of Northwestern women's cross country team met up with 34 other teams at the 2019 UW-Oshkosh Kollege Town Sports Invitational Saturday morning. The Eagles gave great effort and finished in 33rd place. The meet was held at Lake Breeze Golf Club.

Coming in first for the Eagles was
Ava DeShazer (Roseville, Minn./Roseville Area) with a time of 26:12 in the 6000m race. Right behind her,
Grace Wunderlich (Oak Grove, Minn./St. Francis) crossed the finish line with a 28:11 time. Coming in third for the Eagles was
Megan Bettendorf (Duluth, MN/Homeschool) with a time of 28:26.
Tamara Ehrich (Green Isle, Minn./Sibley East) and
Brandhi Whittemore (Milaca, Minn./Milaca) rounded up the top five for the Eagles, finishing with 30:02 and 30:51, respectively.
Washington University of St. Louis, Mo. was the overall winner, finishing with a team score of 27.
