Game OneCrown struck first, scratching a run across in the top of the first, but UNW answered with a pair of runs – via a two-run single from Feldheim – in the home half of the frame to give Northwestern a 2-1 lead.
Crown scored twice more in the second and sixth innings and starter Cearra Dulaney allowed just two more UNW runs to give the Storm the win. The Eagles loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh, but were unable to muster any offense.
Megan Threlkeld (Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville),
Ann Lokke (St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis), and Feldheim all notched a pair of hits at the dish, while

Jennifer Ankrom (New Hampton, Iowa/New Hampton) recorded RBI singles.

Game TwoIn an extra-inning contest, UNW used a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth to pick up its first conference win of the season.
Colleen Feldheim (Northfield, Ill./Loyola Academy) carried her hot bat from game one into game two, as she provided both RBI for the Eagles. Her base knock in the bottom of the eighth scored
Jennifer Ankrom (New Hampton, Iowa/New Hampton) to secure the win. Ankrom scored UNW's first run of the game on a Feldheim single in the fourth.
Feldheim finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish, while Ankrom added two hits.
Lauren Silbernick (Osakis, Minn./Osakis) picked up the win in the circle, hurling four innings in relief of starter
Meghan Schroeder (Big Lake, Minn./Spectrum). Silbernick didn't allow a run, while fanning a pair in her relief appearance.
