New Ulm, Minn.— The University of Northwestern women's soccer team secured yet another conference victory Saturday afternoon as they beat Martin Luther College 3-0. Northwestern remains in the number two spot in conference, just behind Bethany Lutheran who also had a victory today against the University of Wisconsin- Superior.
MLC had an own goal off of a corner kick two minutes into the second half.
Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo ) earned the first Eagle goal with 80 minutes into the game. Six minutes later,
Rachel Walmsley (Lino Lakes, Minn./Homeschool) added her first season goal, assisted by
Katie Meinke (Victoria, Minn./Southwest Christian).
Freshman
Josie Monson (Albertville, Minn./Homeschool) secured the shutout for the Eagles, her third for the season.
The Eagles will face Crown College on Tuesday night at 7:15p.m. in St. Bonifacius.
