ST. PAUL — The University of Northwestern women's soccer continues to impress their ninth straight conference win with a 3-0 shutout victory over Northland College Saturday afternoon.
Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo ) put the Eagles on the board with a goal 10 minutes into the game, assisted by
Megan Larsen (Appleton, Wis./Appleton East).
Allie Franzen (Andover, Minn./Legacy Christian ) scored her second goal of the season as a defender with a rocket from 50 yards back. Franzen's last goal of the season secured their win over the College of St. Scholastica. The Eagles entered halftime at a 2-0 advantage.
Kirsten Aderton (Rochester, Minn./Schaeffer Academy) scored in the 89th minute after scoring off a rebound off the goalie, kneeing the ball in the right corner.
Northwestern outshot Northland 26 to 10, with eight more shots on goal.
Josie Monson (Albertville, Minn./Homeschool) was credited the shutout for the Eagles, maintaining sole posses ion of first place in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference for UNW.
