Coached back-to-back athletes who ranked No. 1 in NCAA DIII Women’s Lacrosse in ground balls per game, as well as one player rank within the top 20 in draw controls per game

Personal

Graduated from Bethel University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2012
Worked as a full-time physical education teacher while working at Woodbury High before coming aboard Northwestern
Former head coach of the Woodbury High School varsity program, as well as the assistant varsity and head junior varsity coach at Mounds View High School
As team captain for the Bethel club team, Sawyer led the squad in scoring
She was one of 17 players in the 24-team conference (NCWLL), which included Iowa State University, North Dakota State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth, to score at least 20 goals in 2012
Sawyer and her husband, Brian, reside in Otsego, Minnesota
