In his years of track and field, Peter Sola was the name to beat among NCCAA competition in the hammer throw. A three-time NCCAA All-American, Sola took first place in the hammer throw in the 1986, 1987 and 1990 NCCAA National Championships, while setting a new national record with a throw of 162’1” in his senior campaign. Transitioning to football, Peter brought down the hammer while being a member of the Eagles offensive line, blocking for a rushing attack that averaged over 1,350 yards per year throughout his four seasons while earning a conference championship.
Off the field, Peter takes pride in his involvement within the local church, where he has served in leadership in AWANA, Sunday school, small group, care ministry, trustee board and Vacation Bible School. Peter and his wife Sarah have two sons, Peter and Jay.
