RIVER FALLS, WIS. – The University of Northwestern women's cross country team competed well at in the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Invitational Friday, as the Eagles finished in sixth place overall.

Getting off to a fast start, Sophomore
Jane Hulterstrum (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield) led the Eagles with a 25:46 finish, while Sophomore
Susan Porter (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) had a strong finish as she crossed the line in 27:10.
Proving to be a solid contender in her first-ever 6k race, Freshman
Juliette Martin (Chisago City, Minn./Homeschool) ran a respectable time of 28:14 with Sophomore
Mckenzie Olson (Monticello/Monticello) (28:27) and Freshman
Annika Horning (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) (31:30) clocking in right behind.
Cruising through the course, Sophomore
Sophia Swanson (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) ended the race with a new personal-best of 32:31, while Freshman Hannah Bergh rounded out the evening with a 32:59 time, respectively.
River Falls took home the team title, finishing with 34 points.
