LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following its 5-0 week and five-set win over then-No. 10 Gustavus, the University of Northwestern volleyball jumped four spots to No. 8 in Tuesday's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll.

The Eagles had an impressive week, sweeping their four UMAC matches before ending the week with a thrilling road victory over Gustavus in five sets last Saturday. UNW is now 14-3 on the year and 8-0 in league play.

The Eagles will play five matches again this week with four of those being conference affairs. Once again, UNW will close out the week with a tough non-conference match. This week's opponent will be No. 17 St. Thomas (13-2) on Homecoming Saturday. First serve inside the Ericksen Center is set for 7 p.m.
