ST. PAUL – The No. 9 University of Northwestern volleyball team was ranked second in the Central Regional in Tuesday's first NCAA regional ranking release Wednesday.

The Eagles are second to Gustavus – a team UNW beat in five sets earlier in the year on the road in St. Peter. Northwestern clinched at least a share of the UMAC regular season title with last night's sweep of UW-Superior. The Eagles are 27-4 overall on the year and 14-0 in league play.
