NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Racing against some of the top competition from across the region, the University of Northwestern women's cross country team ran to an 18^th place finish at the St. Olaf Invitational Saturday. Saturday's meet featured both Division II and Division III schools.

Alyssa Arends (Ackley, Iowa/AGWSR) paced the UNW women in the 6k race, accumulating a time of 25:53.8. Arends continues to have a strong fall for the Eagles. Danica White (Maplewood, Minn./Concordia Academy) was the second UNW finisher Saturday, as the sophomore crossed the line in a time of 26:56.0. Vanessa Whyte (Medina, Minn./Homeschool) totaled a time of 27:17.6 and Megan Reece (Slater, Iowa/Homeschool) finished in 28:08.6.

UNW will next compete at the prestigious Griak Invitational next Saturday in St. Paul. The women's race will get underway at 9 a.m
