ST. PAUL -- The University of Northwestern Eagle women had a great day at Concordia University's Holst Invitational, wrapping up competition with many top 10 finishes amongst a new personal record.
Results The women's 4x100-meter relay team came in fifth place for the event, crossing the finish line in 52.98 seconds.
Lisa Greenslade (Pine Island, Minn./Pine Island ) finished seventh in her first 3,000-meter steeplechase of the year with a time of 14:10.91.
Amber Doebler (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo) placed eighth in the long jump competition with a leap of 4.69 meters before taking seventh place in the 100-meter dash at 12.79 seconds. Sophomore
Jordan Skarin (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo ) was tenth across the line in the 200-meter dash (27.17).
In the field events,
Sarah Nisley (Pine City, Minn./Pine City) set a new personal record in the hammer throw with a distance of 30.34 meters (99-1), almost 15 feet ahead of her previous best.
Next Wednesday, the Eagles women's squad heads down Snelling Avenue again, this time to Hamline University for its Women's Twilight meet.
